The highly anticipated two-hour podcast episode, which dropped on YouTube on Aug. 13 (no coincidence there, as 13 is famously known to be Swift's favorite number), gave fans new insights into the journey of buying her masters, her upcoming album, football knowledge and her relationship with Kelce.
Here are the 5 most epic moments from Taylor Swift's 'New Heights' debut
It's been a long time coming, but Taylor Swift finally graced the "New Heights" podcast, and it was everything we could have imagined and more. So, without further ado, here are the top five most epic moments from her debut (in no particular order).
1. Why did she decide to do the podcast?
Taylor Swift made her first-ever podcast appearance Aug. 13 on "New Heights." And although she's dating co-host Travis Kelce, you might be asking yourself why she decided to do a podcast now? Thankfully, Jason Kelce asked that same question minutes into the episode.

"This podcast has done a lot for me. I owe a lot to this podcast. This podcast got me a boyfriend. Ever since Travis decided to use it as his personal dating app about two years ago," Swift jokingly replied, recalling how Travis attend her Kansas City show with a friendship bracelet with his number on it.
She later went on to say, "This dude didn't get a meet and greet. He's making it everyone's problem. That's what I thought at first."
2. Taylor tears up about reclaiming her masters and re-recording albums: 'I got my music back'
Arugably one of the biggest moments in Swift's career was her reclaiming the masters of her music. During the podcast, the 35-year-old got emotional sharing how the process to fully own her music impacted her.

I always refer to it as I got my music back this summer, but I never owned my music at all," she said.
"Since I was a teenager, I've been actively saving up money to buy my music back and to ever own it in the first place because it's usually the label that owns it, but I've always wanted this to happen. My music has been sold a few times. The first time it was sold, it really ripped my heart out of my chest."
Swift goes on to explain that she sent her brother and mom to Los Angeles, California, tonegotiate with Shamrock Capital, the owners of her masters, on her behalf.
"A couple months after theSuper Bowl,I was in Kansas City,'" Swift said got teary-eyed. "I get a call from my mom. She’s like, 'You got your music.' I very dramatically hit the floor for real. Bawling my eyes out, weeping, like 'Really?' I said to myself 'Go tell Travis in a normal way.'"

3. Taylor showed off her football 'knowledge' to Travis on their first date
Swift might be a mastermind when it comes to writing songs and putting on show-stopping performances, but the Pennsylvania native didn't know that much about football until she met the Chiefs tight end, who just so happens to be entering his 13th NFL season.
"On our first date, I literally, I legitimately asked him what it was like when the Chiefs played the Eagles in the Super Bowl and he looked across the field, across the line of scrimmage and saw his brother standing on the other 5 feet in fron of him on the field. He was like, 'I'm on offense and my brother's on offense, and I'm only on the field at the same time as the defense,'" Swift said.
The iconic signer added that she thought "everyone was on (the field) at the same time." However, it didn't take long for her to become a certified ball-knower.

I became a person who was running through the halls of my house screaming, 'We drafted Xavier Worthy!' And my friends are like, 'What is, who body-snatched you?'"
4. She confirmed 'Red (Taylor's Version)' is her favorite re-recorded album
Before Swift reclaimed her masters, the 14-time Grammy winner re-recorded her first six albums, a feat that sparked her Eras Tour. But does the pop star have her own favorite album? Yes.
"I really liked them all, but I think 'Red' was very special. There were songs that I called 'From the Vault songs' and there was one, which I think is maybe my favorite song I've ever written called, 'All Too Well' the 10-minute version," she revealed.
"And when it came to doing Taylor's verson and re-recording the album, I went back in, found the versus, reconstructed the song to the way that it pretty much was when I had origionally written it, put them back in, and that song is one of my favorite things I've ever done."

"So yeah (re-recording 'Red') made be just be like, 'God, I love that album.' I've known no complicated feelings about that."
5. Taylor recalls working on 'The Life of a Showgirl' during The Eras Tour
Seriously, when does Swift sleep? Her Eras Tour spanned 632 days, from March 17, 2023, to Dec. 8, 2024. It encompassed 149 shows across 51 cities and 21 countries, and she still found time to record a new album.
Swift revealed she began working on "The Life of a Showgirl" while she was in Europe on The Eras Tour.
"I'd do like three shows in a row. I'd have three days off. I'd fly to Sweden, go back to the tour and actually like working on this, I was physically exhausted at this point in the tour, but I was so mentally stimulated and so excited to be creating."

The singer also shared she wrote the album with Max Martin and Shellback, the same producers who brought us "I Knew You Were Trouble," "Wildest Dreams," "Delicate" and more.
"So that's the energy we're going with?" Jason asked. "There's going to be some f*****g bangers."
