IHG Hotels & Resorts has confirmed a new agreement with Arbah Tayba Real Estate Company to launch Crowne Plaza Madinah Al Haramain, featuring 383 rooms.
Set to open next year, the hotel will be under IHG's management and aims to bolster the company’s presence in Madinah, a key religious and cultural city in Saudi Arabia.
The property is situated opposite the new Haramain high-speed railway station, providing guests with connectivity to major cities such as Jeddah and Makkah.
The Crowne Plaza Madinah Al Haramain is strategically located within a mixed-use development. It is also in proximity to initiatives such as Knowledge Economic City and Rua Al Madinah, positioning it as a convenient spot for travellers.
Arbah Tayba Real Estate Company CEO Abdulaziz Al Qafary said: “Strategically located with direct access to key transport links, Crowne Plaza Madinah Al Haramain is set to meet the evolving needs of today’s travellers – offering convenience, seamless connectivity, and a trusted international hospitality experience.
“This partnership underscores our focus on delivering high-quality developments that enhance access, elevate the guest journey, and support the city’s long-term growth.”
The hotel also features two signature food and beverage outlets.
Madinah is currently experiencing swift development, propelled by government initiatives and projects aligned with Vision 2030 objectives of the country.
IHG Hotels & Resorts India, Middle East and Africa managing director Haitham Mattar said: "As the Kingdom continues to enhance its tourism and hospitality offering in line with Vision 2030, we remain committed to bringing world-class experiences and trusted brands to Saudi guests and global travellers.
“This partnership with Arbah Tayba Real Estate Company to introduce Crowne Plaza Madinah Al Haramain is the latest milestone in our growing Saudi portfolio and further underlines our commitment to the Kingdom.”
Premium hotel segment brand Crowne Plaza is known for offering flexible meeting spaces and integrated social areas that cater to both business and leisure travellers.
The brand is continuing its global expansion in urban and gateway cities.
IHG's presence in Saudi Arabia is strong, with 45 hotels across six brands and an additional 47 hotels in the pipeline, expected to open in the next three to five years.
This expansion includes the recent announcement of two new hotels in Jeddah, in partnership with Koushan Real Estate Development Company.
