The Florida native was crowned the champion on the season 10 finale of RuPauls Drag Race All Stars, which dropped Friday, July 18 on Paramount+ — nabbing a 1 year supply of Anastasia Beverly Hills cosmetics, a coveted spot in the Drag Race Hall of Fame and a cash prize $200,000.

It's a move that makes Ginger, who is of Puerto Rican and Irish decent, both the first Latina All Stars winner and the first plus-size winner in the history of the U.S. franchise (the main entry of which recently wrapped its seventeenth season).

She also the first queen to appear on four different U.S. seasons of Drag Race, the first to win the "Snatch Game" three times, and has officially tied Roxxxy Andrews' record for most lip sync wins in Drag Race history, with 10.

"It's been 10 years of me coming to this competition, and I'm f---ing ready to reign!" Ginger, 40, said after RuPaul named her the champ. "I won! I won! Finally! I've worked so hard for this and to have it finally happen, it just exceeds any expectation. I just feel like a winner."

Ginger first appeared on Drag Race's seventh season, which aired in 2015, and made it to the top three before losing to Violet Chachki. She was a runner-up as well on the sixth season of All Stars, and placed eighth in the second season.

The performer is one of Drag Race’s most versatile and beloved stars. A multi-talented performer, she’s built a loyal following over the years thanks to her comedic chops, musical talents and old-school showbiz flair.

In addition to her time on reality TV, Ginger has appeared as an actress in a number of scripted roles, including Dumplin', Hocus Pocus 2, AJ and the Queen. She lent her voice to the animated show, Super Drags, and has released three studio albums: Sweet T (2016), Gummy Bear (2021), and Double Wide Diva (2021).

Her first book, Southern Fried Sass: A Queen's Guide to Cooking, Decorating, and Living Just a Little "Extra," was released in 2023.

To nab the All Stars crown, Ginger had to survive the "Tournament of All Stars," which saw 18 queens compete first in three brackets of six. Ginger dominated her first bracket, winning the first two weeks and landing in the top 2 in the third. In the semifinals, she was triumphant in the first challenge and was safe in the second week.

For the finale, the eight remaining queens (Gingr, Aja, Bosco, Daya Betty, Irene the Alien, Jorgeous, Lydia B. Kollins and wild card entry Kerri Colby) had to compete in the Lip Sync Smackdown for the Crown.

Ranked No. 1 seed in the bracket in a Rate-A-Queen line-up, Ginger proved to be fierce competition. She defeated Kerri Colby to Lady Gaga’s “Disease," Bosco to Pink’s "Raise Your Glass," before going head-to-head with Jorgeous in a fierce performance of "It's Raining Men."

But it's not what Ginger won that had fans talking this season — it's what she lost.

Between the first bracket and the semi-finals, Ginger dropped a considerable amount of weight driven by the use Zepbound (tirzepatide), a medication specifically approved for weight loss.

"This has honestly been one of the most difficult things I’ve ever done in my life," she told PEOPLE earlier this month. "You can’t just take the shot and expect things to happen. I paired it with a 1200-calorie-a-day diet. I cut out sugar. I limited carbs. I found exercises I could do no matter where I was traveling. It was a full lifestyle change."

Now down 160 lbs., Ginger says she's seen a number of health benefits. "I had severe sleep apnea. I was on blood pressure meds. I was pre-diabetic. Within a couple of months, the sleep apnea was gone, and I was off all my medications. I’m no longer pre-diabetic," she said. "I finally felt like me, but in a whole new way."

Still, Ginger says she isn’t trying to abandon her identity. "I’m still plus-size," she said proudly. "Even at my goal weight, I’ll still be considered plus-size. I like being that representation for people."

"This isn’t about fitting into a certain look. It’s about finally having the energy to do what I love — and live the life I’ve always wanted," she said.

All Stars has had ten previous queens entered into the Drag Race Hall of Fame: Chad Michaels, Alaska Thunderf--- 5000, Trixie Mattel, Monét X Change, Trinity the Tuck, Shea Couleé, Kylie Sonique Love, Jinkx Monsoon, Jimbo and Angeria Paris VanMicheals.

Meanwhile, RuPaul’s Drag Race has catapulted the careers of countless drag superstars, and has been a significant platform for LGBTQ+ artists.

Earlier this week, the show received 10 total 2025 Emmy Awards nominations, the most for any reality competition series. Additionally, RuPaul shattered records with his 10th consecutive nomination for Outstanding Host for a Reality or Competition Program, making it the most in history in this category.

All seasons are now streaming on Paramount+.
