Happy Anne Hathaway day! Today, the actor was unveiled as Vogue’s August 2025 cover star. There is certainly a lot of excitement around Hathaway to celebrate at the moment: Not only is she starring in the upcoming fashion-thriller Mother Mary, but she will also star in the highly-anticipated The Devil Wears Prada 2 and The Princess Diaries 3. In short, the Hollywood box offices are about to be dominated by all things Annie.

What better time than now, then, to look back at some of Hathaway’s best moments in this very magazine? Over the years, Hathaway has graced many pages (and several covers) of Vogue, and nobody has done cinematic glamour quite like the her. Her very first cover was for January 2009—and since then, the A-lister has continued to bring the romance and drama, often collaborating with acclaimed photographers like Annie Leibovitz to bring some major fashion fantasies to life. (It was only natural that Leibovitz captured her latest cover.)

Some notable editorial moments? In the December 2012 issue, Leibovitz photographed Hathaway in-character as Fantine in Les Misérables—a role that later earned her an Oscar for best supporting actress. In the May 2015 issue, Hathaway also appeared—in double denim!—in the magazine, when she played a fighter pilot in the play Grounded. Her latest cover shoot, meanwhile, continues on her stylish legacy of shoots fit for Hollywood royalty.
