Your phone is already smart, so why shouldn’t your car be, too?
Connected vehicles that work seamlessly with your mobile devices are in greater demand these days, which is why Stellantis has just announced two new Connected Services packages for Dodge, Jeep, Ram, and Fiat models. According to the automaker, these bundle the most popular features together to suit customer needs.
The Connect ONE pack is free and active for 10 years from the date of purchase or lease. Positioned above this is Connect Wi-Fi Plus, a premium package with a free three-month trial or a monthly subscription. Let’s see what each package offers in more detail.
Connect ONE Package

This is the standard package on most Stellantis brands, with a list of essential connectivity features to help owners stay safe, keep track of the vehicle’s status, and more.
The following features are included here:
Basic navigation
Over-the-air software updates
Remote lock and unlock through the brand app
Automatic SOS calls and recall notifications
Vehicle health reports, alerts, and service scheduling
In-vehicle games
Charging and management tools for EVs
This pack also includes a Digital Key, which allows users to access and start the car with a smartphone. However, Stellantis says this will only be available at a later stage.
With the new Connect ONE package, several services are available for twice as long as they were before, such as the service scheduling function. Remote lock/unlock was only available for three months, but is now included for a full 10 years.

Connect Wi-Fi Plus

This pack adds more advanced features. In the first 30 days of purchasing or leasing a new vehicle, customers can enroll for a three-month trial. Thereafter, this pack will cost $17.99 per month. For that, you get the following:
Wi-Fi hotspot
Stolen vehicle tracking
Advanced remote operations, such as activating the climate control remotely
Drive alerts, like speed
Voice assistant
Alexa Built-in
Connected navigation, including map updates and real-time traffic updates
“We’ve been listening to our customers and simplifying connected services to give them more value, more clarity and more control,” said Cristiani Campos, senior vice president of the software business unit, Stellantis. “By including essential software for the full life of the vehicle and bundling popular features like Wi-Fi, we are giving our customers a connected experience that works better for everyday needs.”
These packages will be available on new and used Jeep, Ram, Fiat, and Dodge models from this month, with Chrysler and Alfa Romeo models to follow shortly. Customers with existing, eligible models can activate the services from this month, but not all features are available on all models.
Hopefully, the new tech works smoothly and doesn't diminish the initial quality rating of certain Stellantis models like Ram and Chrysler, which is already poor.
