Deftones is back and ready to rock the music world once again.

The iconic ‘90s band has announced their long-awaited new albumPrivate Music, set for release on August 22. And for eager fans, the band has done you a solid. The album’s lead single, “My Mind Is a Mountain,” is already available for fans to stream.

This marks Deftones’ 10th album and first studio album in nearly five years, following their 2020 release Ohms. Fans can expect to hear the new music live when Deftones kicks off the second leg of their 2025 North American tour that same month. They will be joined by other bands like Phantogram, Idles, and the Barbarians of California for the tour, with additional dates alongside System of a Down in Toronto this September.

In addition, the band also revealed U.K. and European arena tour dates for 2026, starting in Paris on January 29 and wrapping up in London on February 20. The band will be joined by Denzel Curry and Drug Church at all tour stops.

It’s safe to say fans are absolutely elated about the news, taking to social media to share their excitement.

“NEW DEFTONES ALBUM AFTER HALF A DECADE WAR IS OVER,” one fan wrote on X.

Another quipped, "Deftones announcing a tour and coming to where i live when i’m broke.”

“I’m not sorry for how imma be when Deftones releases the album,” a third joked.

The band shared their disappointment with fans on social media, saying, "We’re devastated to be missing out on something we’ve been looking forward to for months, but sometimes circumstances out of our control interfere with things we want to do the most."

Tickets for the U.K. and European shows go on sale July 18, with early access available for fans who pre-order Private Music through the band’s official store.
