Janet Jackson, 59, Looks Better Than Ever in Rare Public Appearance originally appeared on Parade.
Janet Jackson is a music legend, but the icon isn't always spotted working the red carpet. That's why we were thrilled to see the notorious songbird, known for songs like "Control" and "What Have You Done for Me Lately,"attend the 1500th Gala Performance of Cabaret at The Kit Kat Club on July 7 in London, England.
A vision in white, Jackson sported a head-to-toe white outfit for the occasion. She paired crisp white trousers with wide legs with a white coat and white collared shirt and accessorized with large hoops. Her braided hair was twisted up into an oversized topknot that sat on top of her head.

With 50 years of making music under her belt, it's safe to say people were eager to see her back on the stage. She also received the ICON Award at the ceremony.
"I love you so much," Jackson said in her acceptance speech, according to PEOPLE. "I am so so honored. I am so grateful. I mean, no disrespect in any way, but I don't consider myself an icon."
She continued, explaining that it wasn't the Jackson family's goal to be famous.
"We weren't raised like that. We always had a special love for music, dancing, singing, and fame came with the result of hard work and dedication," she explained. "My story, my family's story, is truly an American story. This would have only happened in America."
