“He’s been coming to Australia for a long time, he’s got family here,” Burke told the ABC, referencing Ye’s Aussie wife Bianca Censori. “But we have enough problems in this country already without deliberately importing bigotry.”
While Kanye didn’t have a visa lined up for the purposes of touring, Burke confirmed his team still took a hard look at the law — and ruled that promoting Nazism crossed a serious line.
“You’re going to have a song and promote that sort of Nazism? We don’t need that in Australia.”
