Everybody cut footloose!

That's exactly what Kevin Bacon did Tuesday to celebrate his special day. Accompanied by his wife Kyra Sedgwick, the star of the 1984 movie Footloose, showed off some of his moves in a clip, which proclaimed he was "shimmying into 67," that he shared on social media.

Bacon captioned it, "A little birthday shimmy."

Bacon is perhaps best known (to people of a certain age, anyway) for his role in 1984's Footloose as Ren McCormack, a teen sent to live with relatives in a small town following the death of his father. He finds his new life tough to adjust to, especially because the teens there they aren't allowed to dance, which is a talent of his. He and his friends then set out to change things.

Actor Justin Long and singer Jennifer Nettles were just two of the more than 46,000 people who sent well wishes to the actor who's appeared in so many projects that "Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon" is a real game people play.

Sedgwick shared her own tribute to her husband of more than 36 years, alongside a video of the couple pretending to be up to no good.

"Told Kevin I had a surprise for his birthday...don't think this is what he had in mind," the actress wrote. "Happy Birthday @kevinbacon, thanks for being my forever partner in crime!"

Bacon and Sedgwick are also partners — dance partners, that is — in their new film, The Best You Can, which debuted last month at the Tribeca Film Festival. It's the couple's first film together in 20 years.

Though Bacon has said before that he's not always willing to dance on command, particularly at weddings, he was happy to do it with Sedgwick in their new movie. Writer-director Michael J. Weithorn told EW that his leading man "didn't require any coaxing" to get out on the dance floor.

"That was part of the whole story as it was written, that they go to this wedding, crash it, and he tries to coax her into doing it and cheer her up that way," Weithorn said. "It takes him a minute to figure out exactly what the dance is, and then they transition from bumping to doing a freeform dance, and so forth."

We'll take Bacon dancing however he does it.
