Dust off your Walkman and find your neon-colored buddy bands because Men Without Hats is back with a nostalgia-fueled synth-pop banger that "celebrates the decade that made them legends," the band announced via press release.
Men Without Hats' new single is titled "I Love the '80s" and it gives music fans "a hairsprayed wink and a shoulder-padded strut" from the singers of the iconic '80s hit "The Safety Dance."

Frontman Ivan Doroschuk sings lyrics like "Everybody felt alive/ Back in 1985" and "Dance safely across the floor/ like we did in '84."

"I Love the '80s" is the "cheeky" lead single from Men Without Hats' upcoming album Men Without Hats On the Moon, which is slated for release in mid-October.
"It's a high-voltage return from a band whose influence on pop culture is still alive and pogo-dancing," reads the press release. "From Montreal basement gigs in 1977 to stadium-filling synth anthems in the '80s, Men Without Hats have carved out an enduring space in music history. 'Pop Goes The World' and 'The Safety Dance' are more than hits — they're international memes, football chants, and soundtrack staples for generations.

The band's current lineup includes Doroschuk on vocals, founding member Colin Doroschuk's daughter Sahara Sloan on keyboards and vocals, Sho Murray on guitar and Adrian White on drums.
