Jordan’s version is described an a reimagining of the Pierce Brosnan-led 1999 movie, which was also remake of the 1969’s acclaimed Steve McQueen film of the same name. Production on the project is currently underway in London.

The upcoming heist movie is written by Drew Pearce and Wes Tooke, based on a story by the original movie’s writer, Alan Trustman. Besides Jordan and Arjona, the remake will also star Lily Gladstone, Kenneth Branagh, and Danai Gurira. It is produced by Jordan and Elizabeth Raposo for Outlier Society, along with Patrick McCormick and Marc Toberoff. Trustman has also signed on as an executive producer.

After his hit Sinners, Jordan will next be seen in another high-profile horror movie: I Am Legend 2, which will see the return of Will Smith’s character from the 2007 post-apocalyptic thriller movie.
