Michael B. Jordan’s Thomas Crown Affair Finds Exciting Replacement for Taylor Russell

Amazon MGM Studios has finally found the new female lead for its upcoming heist movie The Thomas Crown Affair, starring Black Panther’s Michael B. Jordan. This comes after it was recently confirmed that Bones & All star Taylor Russell had decided to exit the project due to creative differences.
The movie is set to arrive in theaters on March 5, 2027, pitting it against no direct competition at the box office. However, it is still expected to debut in the same month as other high-profile films including Sonic the Hedgehog 4 and Godzilla x Kong: Supernova.
Who is joining Michael B. Jordan’s Thomas Crown Affair?
According to Variety, Hit Man star Adria Arjona has officially been tapped to star opposite Jordan in The Thomas Crown Affair. Her most recent role was reprising Bix Caleen in the second and final season of the Star Wars series Andor. Jordan’s version is described an a reimagining of the Pierce Brosnan-led 1999 movie, which was also remake of the 1969’s acclaimed Steve McQueen film of the same name. Production on the project is currently underway in London.

Besides Jordan and Arjona, the remake will also star Lily Gladstone, Kenneth Branagh, and Danai Gurira. It is produced by Jordan and Elizabeth Raposo for Outlier Society, along with Patrick McCormick and Marc Toberoff. Trustman has also signed on as an executive producer.
After his hit Sinners, Jordan will next be seen in another high-profile horror movie: I Am Legend 2, which will see the return of Will Smith’s character from the 2007 post-apocalyptic thriller movie. He is also developing the fourth installment to his boxing drama franchise Creed, which he will once again direct. Jordan also recently signed on as a producer on a new horror project in the form of The House of Last Resort, based on bestselling author Christopher Golden’s 2024 high concept horror novel.
