Microsoft Outlook is back up and running after users reported not being able to log into their accounts on Thursday, July 10.
The Microsoft service status page says that Outlook is up and running. On July 10, the status page said users may be unable to access their mailboxes using any connection methods, including Outlook.com, Outlook Mobile, and Outlook on desktop.
While the number of users that were affected remains unclear, the outage appears to have affected users in multiple countries, including the UK, Australia, and Canada, among others. Outlook has over 400 million users worldwide.
Microsoft did not immediately respond to a USA TODAY request for more information.

Other recent Microsoft outages
In November 2024, Microsoft said it was investigating anissue that impacted users attempting to access servicesincluding its Outlook email product.
In a post on X at the time, Microsoft wrote it was assessing "an issue impacting users attempting to use Exchange Online or functionality within Microsoft Teams calendar."
In September 2024, aMicrosoft outage left thousands of users unable to access their services. Microsoft 365 users reported outages, saying they were unable to sign into their email accounts or access other applications.
Last July, a defective update from U.S. cybersecurity software companyCrowdStrike crashed Microsoft Windows systems around the world.
The tech outage disrupted operations across industries such as banks,hospitalsand 911 call centers, plus grounded flights and hampered public transit systems.
CrowdStrike, which advertises being used by over half of Fortune 500 companies, said at the time one of its recent content updates had a defect that impacted Microsoft's Windows Operating System, adding the incident was "not a security incident or cyberattack."
