Netflix Announces Decision on Season 3 of 'Tires'

It's hard to think of a comedian with a better two years than Shane Gillis. He's hosted Saturday Night Live, starred in Super Bowl commercials and embarked on a successful tour following multiple stand-up specials.
Gillis is also the star of Netflix's "Tires," and the show has exploded in popularity after the release of the second season. Netflix revealed great news for fans of the series on Tuesday, noting that a third season was on the way.
"TIRES SEASON 3 COMING 2026," Netflix announced, revealing that the next season would premiere next year.
Gillis, one of the show's creators, stars alongside Steve Gerben in the series. The show follows a pair of cousins who take over their family's struggling auto care business.

Season one premiered without much fanfare in 2024, but the second season released last month to great fanfare and acclaim. Gillis has become one of the fastest rising stars in the world of comedy, and he's become much more of a mainstream name over the last year.
Gillis' return to Saturday Night Live in 2024, five years after he was fired from the show, was considered a landmark moment in his career.
He lasted only five days on the show and was fired after racially insensitive remarks made during old podcast episodes. Gillis has since reflected on the language he used in those episodes and has apologized for his conduct.

He's also released multiple comedy specials, including Beautiful Dogs, which has been on Netflix since 2023.
Vince Vaughn, Thomas Hayden Church, Ron White, Jon Lovitz, Stavros Halkias and Andrew Schultz appeared in season two of the show, and the series' success likely means more guest stars are coming next season.
Gillis has become one of the biggest stars in comedy, even after his initial stint on SNL ended poorly. We'll see what the future holds for him after the success of "Tires," his continued stand-up appearances, any feature film roles and his status as a celebrity endorser.
