Ozzy Osbourne Shares Epic Photo as He Meets Fellow Rock Legend Axl Rose for the 1st Time

Black Sabbath’s Back to the Beginning concert was the biggest heavy metal reunion of all time, but for the man of the hour, Ozzy Osbourne, it was also the first time meeting a fellow rock icon.
In a photo posted to Instagram backstage at Osbourne’s final live show ever, the “Crazy Train” singer was photographed shaking hands with Axl Rose. Osbourne then revealed he had never met the Guns N’ Roses frontman before, which almost seems impossible to believe.
“My first time meeting Axl Rose, at my age, you don’t get to meet many legends, seriously an utter gentleman,” Osbourne, 76, captioned the photo.

Rose, who performed at the all-star event, also posted about the meeting on his X page. "Wow! What an event! Extremely overwhelming! Really great crowd! Was very emotional for everyone!“ the "Welcome to the Jungle” singer wrote. “MET OZZY! Crazy we'd never met before! He was really great! Was great to meet Sabbath!"
Rose, 63, also addressed Osbourne’s Parkinson’s disease diagnosis and the accommodations the singer had to make for the Back to the Beginning show. The Black Sabbath legend performed a total of nine songs while seated on a bat-winged throne.
"Was hard as I imagine for anyone to watch his struggles while at the same time everyone was rooting for him and massively respecting the challenges he took head on, and he did it!” Rose wrote. “Was great to meet Ozzy's family and see friends and peeps in all the bands and the business. A huge thank you again to Ozzy, Sharon, Black Sabbath, and all the fans for having us!"

Back to the Beginning took place on July 5 at Villa Park in Aston, Birmingham. The epic event marked the end of Osbourne’s live performing career.
