BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — Louisiana’s signature drink has officially been crowned as the best beverage in the state by Reader’s Digest, and it’s no surprise that the honor goes to a cocktail as iconic and storied as the Sazerac.
Known for its bold, complex flavor and deep ties to 19th-century New Orleans, the Sazerac has long been a staple in local bars and lounges. Reader’s Digest named it Louisiana’s best drink, citing its historic roots.
