Rob Kardashian revealed why he didn’t follow in his family’s footsteps and walked away from reality television in a rare interview.
“It just has everything to do with myself. I don’t wanna be filming and putting myself in a position where I’m not comfortable,” Rob, 38, told sister Khloé Kardashian in a phone interview on the Wednesday, July 16 episode of the “Khloé in Wonder Land” podcast. “I’m not comfortable in my skin, so why would I want to go be on camera and just be vulnerable and let people in when that’s not what I want to do?”

After the youngest Kardashian sibling clarified that there is no bad blood between him and his siblings, Kim Kardashian, Kourtney Kardashian-Barker, Khloé, 41, Kendall Jenner and Kylie Jenner, and that he is not against popping into an episode of The Kardashians from time to time.
“I love filming if it’s positive and natural and I’m feeling good about myself,” he admitted. “I like being around my family, so that stuff is good to me. I have nothing against [filming], it’s just the reason I don’t is because I’m a homebody and I just choose, like I said, my happiness and peace.”
Rob starred in Keeping Up With the Kardashians for the first 13 seasons until 2017. The series concluded in 2021 after 20 seasons on E!

The series followed the pair’s relationship and their newfound parenting dynamic after welcoming their daughter, Dream Kardashian. Angela, 37, previously welcomed son, King Cairo, with ex-fiancé Tyga.
Despite Rob’s big step back from the spotlight, he has made cameos in the family’s Hulu series, The Kardashians.
