Paramount Global on Tuesday night cleared a major hurdle when it reached a settlement with President Donald Trump in the president's lawsuit against CBS News. As part of the settlement, Paramount Global will shell out $16 million to Trump'sfuture presidential library. It'll also cover his legal costs.
Paramount, which issued no formal apology as part of the settlement, needs the Trump administration's approval to complete its merger with Skydance, though a Paramount spokesperson claims "the lawsuit is completely separate from, and unrelated to, the Skydance Transaction and the FCC approval process."
