Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift have been dating for nearly three years, and while things are going swimmingly now for Kelce with Swift's family, it nearly didn't get off to the best of starts.

When Swift performed back in November 2023, Kelce was at the concert sitting next to Taylor's father, Scott.

Given that the pair were only just dating, Taylor Swift made the bold move to change the lyrics to her song Karma and sang "Karma is the guy on the Chiefs coming straight home to me."

But in all the hysteria, Kelce didn't see that Scott Swift was going for a high five with the tight end, completely missing it.

That could have given off the wrong vibes for Taylor Swift's father and what he thought about the Chiefs' tight end, but thankfully, nothing much was made of it, and now, Kelce and Taylor Swift have been together ever since.

So that's not exactly how you want to start things off with your partner's parent, but Kelce was luckily that it blew over, and now he and Taylor are the happiest they've ever been.

With Swift taking a break from touring in 2025 and Kelce playing in what some people think is his final NFL season, many are wondering what the future holds for the couple.

Granted, we won't likely see many big moves made until after the NFL season, with Travis not wanting distractions, but we get the sense that maybe the pair might be looking to do some of the "normal" things couples in long-term relationships do.

Exactly what that is, we don't know, but Kelce is in a great spot with Taylor Swift, despite the potentially wobbly start with her father.
