The Odyssey Teaser Trailer Shows First Footage of Tom Holland & Jon Bernthal

The teaser trailer for Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey has leaked online.
Universal Pictures‘ The Odyssey arrives in United States theaters next summer. Written and directed by Nolan, the film is an adaptation of the ancient Greek epic poem that is attributed to Homer.
Following the recent release of the first poster for The Odyssey, a teaser trailer is now attached to some showings of Jurassic World Rebirth, which has started playing in United States theaters. While there are reports that the teaser may not be released online for another month, it has already leaked online.

The leaked teaser trailer shows a number of shots of an ocean and a beach with some voice-over narration about there being a “kingdom without a king.” There’s footage of Tom Holland inquiring about his character’s father, Odysseus, when speaking with Jon Bernthal. Bernthal recounts some rumored stories about the current whereabouts of Odysseus before the teaser ends with a shot of someone on a piece of wood in the middle of the water.

The movie is being shot entirely with IMAX cameras. This marks Nolan’s first movie since 2023’s Oppenheimer, which was a huge hit at the box office, as it brought in around $975 million. It also received many accolades, including Best Picture at the Academy Awards.
The Odyssey will be released in United States theaters on July 17, 2026, from Universal Pictures.
