What's up with The Format? Mysterious IG post has fans hoping for the best

There’s a lot of excitement on socials surrounding The Format’s first Instagram post in almost a year.

The Arizona duo shared a photo on the morning of Monday, July 7, of a Fender Tone Master amp head with a piece of bright pink tape over the “-ender” in the logo and “ormat” written in.

Is something up?

The Format fans on Instagram sure think so, many users leaping to the same conclusion — that this could mean we're about to get a chance to see them live again after COVID-19 shut down the reunion tour they planned in 2020.

The Format

The Format’s last full-band performance took place in 2007, althoughSam Means and Nate Ruess did surprise fans at a 2020 viewing partyfor a Format concert film in downtown Phoenix with a full unplugged reunion concert.

In its first seven hours, The Format’s post earned nearly 5,000 likes, nearly 600 comments and more than 2,000 shares.
