The legend of the Lexus LFA continues to this day
The Lexus LFA is heralded by many to be one of the world's greatest supercars. This particular one is for sale on Exotic Car Trader, and you can check out the listing by clicking here. If you're not quite up to date on what makes the LFA so legendary, it all starts with its 4.8L 1LR-GUE V10 engine, which was co-developed with Yamaha and makes 553 hp and 350 lb⋅ft of torque. That gives the LFA a 0-60 mph time of 3.6 seconds and a maximum speed of 202 mph through a six-speed automated manual transmission. It wasn't just fast, but it looked the part as well, with a menacing rear spoiler, plenty of aerodynamic bits, and carbon fiber trim throughout. In fact, 65% of the LFA's body is made up of carbon fiber-reinforced polymer alongside aluminium, titanium, and magnesium. Two concepts of the LFA were created and tested at the Nurburgring before the production version debuted at the Tokyo Motor Show in October 2009.
Only 500 units were produced from December 2010 to December 2012, with each one being hand-built by a dedicated production team of engineers and specialists at Toyota's Motomachi plant in Aichi, Japan. To make each example even more special to own, each engine was signed by the specialist who assembled it. This particular example is your chance to own this one-of-a-kind JDM legend.

This LFA could be yours
Aside from being special for being an LFA, this one earns extra desirability points for having only 4,402 miles on the odometer and being one of only 27 non-Nürburgring Package cars finished in Whitest White. The car sits on Dark Premium alloy wheels with a set of red carbon ceramic brake calipers behind them to match the red stitching and red leather door cards, instrument panel, center console, and lower dashboard on the inside. The cabin itself is very race-ready, with a digitized instrument cluster, alloy paddle shifters, and a pair of body-hugging bucket seats. If you couldn't get enough of that F1-like V10 in front of you, two octaves of engine sound are channeled into the cabin through two ducts that connect the firewall with the intake manifold. According to the LFA Registry, it was built in October 2011 and even has a linked video of it when it was delivered to Lexus of Bellevue in Washington.

Final thoughts
Considering the lore, power, and limited production numbers of the LFA, you'd likely expect examples that pop up for sale to bring exorbitant prices, and you'd be right. This 2012 Lexus LFA on Exotic Car Trader currently has an $899,999 asking price, which is a lot of money to say the least. According to Hagerty's Valuation Tool, an excellent condition 2012 LFA is worth around $775,000, with Concours condition examples climbing to $928,000. At just 4,402 miles, this one might fall in the latter category, but when you consider that it failed to sell on eBay for $950,000 just a few months ago, it might not be the case.
Regardless of what your opinion of the Lexus LFA or its value is, you can't disagree that it's an engineering marvel in every sense of the word, and it's unlikely we'll ever see such a car come out of Lexus's factory ever again.
