The actor had his breakout role starring alongside the duo while filming their 1991 hit Thelma and Louise. He was only 28 at the time while Sarandon was 45 and Davis, whose character is romantically involved with Pitt's before he steals their money, was 35.

In the past, Pitt has given David credit for making the steamy scene they shared as comfortable as possible for him as a young actor. "Geena was so sweet and kind and delicate," he said in a2023 interview withWMagazine. "That love scene, I think, went on for two days of shooting. She took care of me."
