Who It’s For: Golfers who want a high-performance driver with a refined dark aesthetic—Elyte for speed and adjustability, Elyte X for forgiveness and higher launch.
What You Should Know: Callaway’s popular “Night Mode” color scheme returns with the latest tech from the standard Elyte drivers, including an advanced carbon crown and face designed to optimize distance, dispersion, and launch.
The Deep Dive: Over the past few seasons, Callaway has found success blending performance innovation with bold design through limited-edition “Night Mode” releases. From the original Paradym to the Ai Smoke drivers, blacked-out clubheads have caught the eye of players who want something a little different when they step onto the tee.
This summer, that tradition continues with the debut of the Elyte Night Edition and Elyte X Night Edition drivers—blacked-out versions of the standard models that were released in January. Both retain the advanced technologies but add a darker, more aggressive finish that gives players a sleek, confident look at address.

The Elyte Night Edition is the flagship of the pair, built for speed with a slightly smaller profile, refined shaping, and adjustability that lets players dial in a neutral, fade, or draw bias using a 13-gram perimeter weight. At the heart of its performance is the Ai 10x Face, Callaway’s most advanced variable face design to date. Compared to previous Ai Smart Faces, this version uses ten times more data points to deliver tighter dispersion and higher ball speeds across a wider area portion of the hitting area.
On top, both drivers feature the Thermoforged Carbon Crown. Opting for the aerospace-grade composite material helped engineers shift weight more strategically throughout the head. That allows for better forgiveness and optimized spin characteristics—two of the critical ingredients for longer, more stable drives.
The Elyte X Night Edition shares much of the same DNA, but it’s tuned for golfers who need a little more help. With a larger footprint and higher launch profile, the X model is designed to be more forgiving, especially on off-center hits. It also features the same adjustable 13-gram weight, but in settings that promote either a neutral or draw-biased shot shape.
