For riders of a certain age, it's a little crazy to realize that Yeti Cycles turns 40 this year. The Golden, Colorado-based company is taking a victory lap with the release of anniversary models of some of its classic builds, starting with the ASR in April.
It has now released the 40th anniversary edition of arguably its most popular bike, the SB160.
"We’re celebrating our forty-year legacy by building the most capable SB160 we've ever made," Yeti Cycles says of its newSB160 40th Anniversary Team Issue. "That’s what four decades of race-bred development gets you – not just history, but the relentless pursuit of what's next.
"Building on this legacy, the SB160 40th Anniversary Team Issue represents the evolution of the 2x World Cup-winning, EDR-dominating SB160. This bike puts you on the same spec as the Yeti / FOX Factory Enduro Team and EDR Series Team Leaders, giving you the chance to ride like the pros."

The release is capped at 100 numbered-frame builds selling for a cool$13,500. For that, buyers get the full Yeti / FOX Factory Race Team treatment:
