The final chapter of The Summer I Turned Pretty is almost here.

Adapted from Jenny Han’s bestselling book trilogy, the Prime Video series follows Isabel “Belly” Conklin (Lola Tung) as she navigates a long-standing love triangle with brothers Conrad Fisher (Christopher Briney) and Jeremiah Fisher (Gavin Casalegno).

Season 2 ended with Belly choosing Jeremiah, and the season 3 trailer teases the couple considering an engagement. But Conrad’s surprise return threatens to shake things up once again.

"There are a couple of moments that people really love from the books that I knew that people were wanting to see,” Han told PEOPLE in July 2025 — though she hinted those fan-favorite scenes might not play out exactly as expected.

Of course, the anticipation of seeing which Fisher brother Belly will ultimately choose is high. But Prime Video is leaning into the slow burn.

While the streamer released all of season 1 at once in 2022, it shifted to a weekly rollout for season 2, starting with a three-episode drop. That format is returning for the final installment, which premiered on July 16.

The third season of The Summer I Turned Pretty premiered on July 16 on Prime Video. According to the official synopsis, the new season begins at the end of Belly’s junior year of college. As she prepares to spend the summer in Cousins Beach with her soulmate, Jeremiah, “some core-shaking events bring her first love Conrad back into her life.”

“Now on the brink of adulthood, Belly finds herself at a crossroads and must decide which brother has her heart,” the synopsis continues. “Summer will never be the same.”

Though seasons 1 and 2 contained fewer than 10 episodes, the final installment of The Summer I Turned Pretty has expanded to 11 episodes, one of which Han also directed.

The author told Entertainment Weekly in May 2025 that the third season will follow the story of the final book in her series, We’ll Always Have Summer. Though she initially considered splitting the book into two seasons, she decided to contain all the drama in one, supersized installment.

"There's a lot of story, and it covers a wide expanse of time,” Han told the outlet. “We needed more canvas for the story, so that's how we ended up with 11 episodes. But yeah, three books, three seasons. It feels right to me."

On July 16, Prime Video released the first two episodes of The Summer I Turned Pretty season 3. After that, a new episode will drop every week on Wednesdays until the series finale on Sept. 17.

The first teaser, which dropped in April 2025, showed Belly and Jeremiah living their best life in college. Everything seems perfect, until Conrad shows up unannounced. Two months later, the official trailer gave fans a deeper glimpse into what’s ahead.
