Do you want to see an amazing sunset? This place was named the 'best view' in Rhode Island

Rhode Island is called the Ocean State for a reason.

You never have to go far for a great beach view in Rhode Island that just hits different, whether it's from the shores of Block Island, the rocks at Beavertail or with your toes in the sand at Narragansett Beach.

Travel website loveEXPLORING made a list of the best view in every state and picked a seaside locale for Rhode Island.

"While your rundown of the best viewsin America's50 states may differ, this is where you can bet your bottom dollar we’d be pointing our cameras," LoveExploring said.

Here's where LoveExploring said is the best view in Rhode Island.

A painting crew power washed the 1890 Castle Hill Lighthouse and applied three layers of paint to the walls and countless coats of Rustoleum to the metal railing and housing at the top, at a cost of about $17,000.

Castle Hill Lighthouse – 'perfect spot to watch the waves'

LoveEXPLORING chose Castle Hill Lighthouse, right by (you guessed it ) Castle Hill Inn in Newport because of how beautiful the sunset looks against the ocean.

The lighthouse, located at 800-870 Ocean Ave., itself is not open to the public, the tourism website Visit Rhode Island said.

"Built in 1898, this unique granite lighthouse stands at the entrance to the East Passage of Narragansett Bay," the website said. "The lighthouse is not open but the grounds are adjacent to the Castle Hill Inn & Resort and are open to the public."

So one could grab a drink on the lawn at Castle Hill Inn, and take in the view. Additionally,the shoreline is also accessible through several different paths, so you can still that golden sunset LoveEXPLORING chose the lighthouse for.
