We love crazy builds and this fully custom motorcycle that’s powered by the V8 from a Ferrari F355 definitely qualifies. While such a thing has been done every once in a while, it’s usually by an automaker and motorcycle company combining forces. This one was built by a guy in his shop.
Drag racing Camaro gets obliterated.
That guy, Maxwell Hazan, builds motorcycles in Los Angeles. While he’s fabricated some amazing bikes, this one he calls the HF355 might be his greatest creation. It was an ambitious project which pushed him, expanding his creative capacities in the process.

Most people if they wanted to take a V8 car engine and use it to power a motorcycle would find an engine and bike combination that lined up reasonably well. Hazan didn’t do that. He had the engine, then fabricated a structure from the ground up, creating his own sport bike.
Amazingly, there’s no frame on the motorcycle. There is at least one subframe, but everything is bolted up to the transmission and engine, making those structural components. Had he added a frame around those, the size of the bike would’ve ballooned, so it was a smart way to go.
As you might imagine, that’s quite the process. To make it even more challenging, the man wanted to keep the motorcycle relatively lightweight and about the same dimensions as most sport bikes on the market today.
He pulled that off, with the HF355 tipping the scale at about 550 lbs. dry. That’s not a lot of weight considering the V8 makes 400-horsepower. Mated to the engine is a 6-speed transmission, so this thing has to be a blast.
What’s more, the wet weight is about 590 lbs. With a four gallon fuel tank, eight quarts of oil in the engine, and two gallons of coolant, that’s impressive.
Hazan says reactions to his build have been “incredible.” We wonder if he’s just talking about online or if he’s actually taken the thing out cruising around Los Angeles. He should definitely take the bike to some shows so more people can see his insane creation.
