WWE 2K25 Was Supposed to Add Travis Scott, But Here’s Why It Didn’t

Rapper Travis Scott will no longer be added to the WWE 2K25 roster due to an apparent falling out with the legendary professional wrestling promotion. Plenty of new talents are scheduled to be added to WWE 2K25 throughout the rest of 2025, but unfortunately, those looking forward to seeing Scott enter the ring will now be left disappointed.

WWE 2K25 continues to be one of the most beloved wrestling titles on the market, praised by players and critics for its graphics, modes, and number of athletes present at launch. New faces continue to make their way to the title through DLC packs, with the newest addition surprising fans, as Aleister Black was added to WWE 2K25 to celebrate the game's Nintendo Switch 2 launch. While one of the biggest names in hip-hop was soon slated to join the game's cast as a surprise DLC character, it seems that this is no longer the case, leaving many fans frustrated with the circumstances behind the celebrity's removal.

According to a new report from Insider Gaming, rapper Travis Scott will no longer be appearing in WWE 2K25 due to a "falling out" between the hip-hop artist and the WWE. The details of this remain unknown, which will likely only frustrate those players eagerly awaiting the talent's addition to the roster. While Scott had not been confirmed as the game's upcoming celebrity guest until very recently, in early July, WWE 2K25 announced that the New Wave Pack's celebrity guest would be replaced, with El Grande Americano chosen as the new DLC character instead. While the rapper won't be coming to the ring, rumors indicate that Travis Scott will appear in GTA 6, with the musician seemingly not finished with the gaming world as a whole just yet.

Those lucky enough to have gotten their hands on a Nintendo Switch 2 can now pick up the wrestling title for the new hybrid console, but some aspects of the port have left players feeling frustrated. While WWE 2K25 on the Switch 2 comes with all the major core gameplay modes, it doesn't include the image uploader or cross-platform community creations. Additionally, the physical version of the game on the Switch 2 has no physical cartridge, instead being nothing more than a code in the box.

Tons of new wrestlers are headed to WWE 2K25 throughout the rest of 2025 through DLC packs. The Attitude Era Superstars Pack, coming to the game in September, will add D'Lo Brown, Billy Gunn, Road Dogg, Victoria, and Mark Henry. Additionally, November will see Jesse Ventura, "Mr. Wonderful" Paul Orndorff, Tito Santana, Junkyard Dog, and Sid Justice joining the fray as part of Saturday Night's Main Event Pack.
