Analysts Predict How Much Revenue GTA 6 Will Generate in Its First 2 Months

Analysts have shared a stunning prediction for Rockstar's long awaited game, estimating that Grand Theft Auto 6 will make a staggering $7.6 billion in revenue within its first two months. The claim could sound ridiculous if it were made about any other game, but Grand Theft Auto 6's predecessors have performed so well that the prediction may very well turn out to be accurate.
Grand Theft Auto has been a wildly popular franchise for decades now, and the current entry is still going strong, with over 215 million copies of GTA 5 now sold. Ever since GTA 3 revolutionized the franchise's formula, the games have sold exceedingly well. However, given that a decade has passed since the initial release of Grand Theft Auto 5, the audience for these titles is more hungry than ever for a sequel.

It Looks Like GTA 6 Will Be 30 FPS
Grand Theft Auto 6's new trailer is incredibly impressive, but the game's attention to detail and overall fidelity may limit it to running at 30 FPS.
Posts 2This momentum may very well propel GTA 6 to brand-new heights for the franchise, Rockstar, and Take-Two Interactive. Josh Chapman of Konvoy shared the group's prediction, stating that the team believes that GTA 6 will be the biggest game launch ever, and will make $7.6 billion within its first 60 days on the market. Chapman states that GTA 6 will likely cost $80 for the base game, with more expensive premium packages also available. The cost of the game and its popularity, Konvoy claims, will lead to Take-Two Interactive recouping its $2 billion investment within a mere month.
CloseOnline Play Will Help Drive Grand Theft Auto 6 Earnings
Though single-player Grand Theft Auto games certainly performed well in the past, Konvoy predicts the online component will also play a big role in the title's earnings. The group believes that Grand Theft Auto 6 Online will feature much larger lobbies than GTA 5, with up to 200 players per lobby, and "higher risk/reward dynamics" that will lead to clashing with other players more frequently. It's also believed that GTA 6's online mode will have a major user-generated content component, which will not only keep players engaged, but also attract mod creators with payouts for their work.
While these statements are only predictions, there are some significant reasons to believe them. In addition to every GTA release being more popular than the last, the hype for Grand Theft Auto 6 is bigger than ever. While video views don't equal sales, the extraordinary excitement for the game has led to GTA 6 setting records with its trailers on YouTube. While $80 might dissuade some potential players, the sheer amount of content in the average Rockstar Game release means a lot of fans likely won't even blink at the higher price.
