007 First Light Players Can Earn Exclusive Wishlist Rewards Before Launch

While the hunt for the next cinematic James Bond is currently ongoing, fans have IO Interactive’s upcoming action-adventure game 007 First Light to look forward to, and players can bag early rewards through a recently announced wishlist mission. The developer confirmed “Project 007” was in the works back in 2020, and 007 First Light was given its formal unveiling during Sony’s State of Play showcase back in June 2025.
Since the game will offer an original story inspired by Ian Fleming’s short stories, 007 First Light could offer something that the Bond films never could. Players can expect to embark on a single-player adventure through the titular Secret Service agent's origin story, and what led him to earn his license to kill. Amazon has been supervising the project since the company’s MGM Studios acquired full creative and production rights to the James Bond IP back in February, which will also tie into the next wave of cinematic films, including the first feature that Dune’s Denis Villeneuve will direct.

Close Milestone 1: Equip Bond with a unique skin and enhance your desktop with animated 007-themed wallpapers. Milestone 2: Add flair to your fieldwork with a custom gadget skin, and stream like an agent with a bespoke overlay. Milestone 3: Go in style with a Deluxe agent skin, plus unlock a developer AMA. Milestone 4: Confidential. The contents of this final reward are top secret, for now…IO Interactive’s art director recently highlighted what fans can expect from 007 First Light, but fans are already expecting the suave style of James Bond projects gone before, mixed with the action of Mission: Impossible and the cut-throat choreography and flair of the Kingsman films. Furthermore, fans of the Hitman games are certain the title is in good hands with IO, and they are excited to experience more stealth combat, a sprawling map, and creative kills.
Six months ahead of its projected 2026 release window, 007 First Light already has its post-launch content plans in place. Not only will the game evolve into a live-service title like Hitman by receiving new missions throughout its longevity, but the title will also be gracing the Nintendo Switch 2 catalog when it releases, which is a personal target for the developer after Hitman’s under-par stint on the original Switch’s Cloud services.
