Monster Hunter Wilds Making Big Change to Arch Tempered Monsters

WillowGames2025-07-122270

Monster Hunter Wilds has announced that it is going to make both of its Arch-tempered fights permanent, starting on July 23, 2025. Both fights were previously limited-time events that happened after the initial release of Monster Hunter Wilds.

The first Arch-tempered monster, the Rey Dau, was released on April 30, 2025, during the Monster Hunter Wilds event "The Silent Flash," and is currently the only one that players have been able to fight. This is a much stronger version of the regular Rey Dau, having new attacks and an increased speed. However, this event only lasted until May 14, 2025, meaning that players who weren't playing Monster Hunter Wilds during that time missed out on it, and others who just enjoyed the fight weren't able to combat it again.

Thanks to player feedback, Capcom is now making a change to this fight and the upcoming Arch-tempered Uth Duna fight. In a Twitter post from the Monster Hunter official page, it announced that both of these monsters will become permanently available. This will happen at the start of the upcoming "Festival of Accord: Flamefete" seasonal event, which was previously announced as being part of the Title Update 2 for Monster Hunter Wilds. The event starts on July 23, 2025, at which point Arch-tempered Rey Dau will return and Arch-tempered Uth Duna will make its debut.

Other Monster Hunter Wilds Updates Announced

After talking about the Arch-tempered monsters, Capcom mentioned a couple of other changes it is considering for Monster Hunter Wilds. The Twitter post points out that the company may make the set of event quests for future Arch-tempered monsters permanent, as well as other upcoming event quests. It will reveal more details about this once it has "finalized the details of these improvements," but it sounds like there will be more content in general that will not just be limited-time events. This could potentially include events like Monster Hunter Wilds' "Kut-Ku the Forest Conqueror."

It seems like Capcom is taking fan suggestions to heart and making sure to adjust their releases and content to make as many players happy as possible. Between creating new high-level fights for hunters to tackle, missions to tie in with these new hunts, and constantly adding new events, such as the recent Monster Hunter Wilds and Street Fighter crossover, hunters old and new will have plenty of content to keep them busy for the foreseeable future.
