Gameloft has recently unveiled the patch notes for Disney Dreamlight Valley’s next update, which will be out on June 9. The next Disney Dreamlight Valley update will be a fairly big one as it will finally bring the second part of “The Storybook Vale” paid expansion and fix some current issues with the game.
Originally released in early access in 2022, Disney Dreamlight Valley finally reached its 1.0 version in December 2023, and it has been a very popular title since then, being considered one of the best cozy games in recent years by Disney fans. After its release, Disney Dreamlight Valley has had 17 main updates, as well as many minor ones, constantly fixing issues and coming up with new content for players.

PostsNow, fans should prepare for June 9, as Gameloft released the patch notes for the next major update, which is set to finally bring the second part of Disney Dreamlight Valley's The Storybook Vale expansion, called “The Unwritten Realm.” The new expansion will allow gamers to descend into The Unwritten Realm, described as “a void of swirling storybook pages.” There, gamers will meet Maleficent and Aurora, and help them settle into the place by completing their friendship storylines, and unlocking new items and outfits along the way. New special premium shop bundles inspired by Aurora and Maleficent will be available for all players, too. Apart from these additions, the patch will also address almost a dozen bugs, fixing various issues that the popular cozy game currently has.
CloseThe new patch comes on the heels of the popular Mysteries of Skull Rock update for Disney Dreamlight Valley, which was released on June 18, 2025. Mysteries of Skull Rock added new characters such as Peter Pan and The Forgotten, as well as the Adventures in Never Land Star Path. The recent update also introduced a new companion called Max, a cute dog that can help players collect resources by digging them up from the ground, and has unique interactions with Ariel and Eric.
Last month, Gameloft also confirmed that Disney Dreamlight Valley is compatible with Nintendo Switch 2. At the time, the developer also teased that an enhanced Nintendo Switch 2 version of the game could be on its way, but it only stated that more information could appear at a later date. Hopefully, Gameloft will continue making the experience of Disney Dreamlight Valley fresh with more content and bug-fixing like the one in the next patch.
